Nebo Loop on a fall afternoon: Breath-taking!

Over the weekend between conference sessions, we drove up to Payson Lakes via the Nebo Loop with Dale and Barbara. Cheri was sweet to take Alyssa because our Suburban seats 7 and we all wanted to drive together.

The fall colors were spectacular! Red, orange, light green, yellow...all blended together in perfect harmony. As we drove up in the mountains, we even saw cattle on the road. Austin exclaimed, "Cows! We should load these up and take them to Grandpa Hatch since he needs some cows now."
We spent all of our time at the first lake. I told Dave, "Maybe this is the uglist one and we have no idea because we didn't go further." But any longer in the car with the boys and I would have been ripping all of the forever family songs from the primary book!

We had a splendid time and we took a bunch of pictures. Here are some of our favorites. Fall in Utah.....INCREDIBLE!

Taylor loved picking the leaves. On our way home, we had to stop so she could get some more red ones off the side of the road.

Austin exclaimed, "Mom- take a picture of me in my football stance."

We set off to see the leaves on the Nebo loop as well for the last session of conference to listen while driving. But then, we decided we left unprepared as we didn't know how to get there. So we went up and over the Alpine Loop. Very beautiful, but very crowded... and I got really carsick. Yours looks much more fun, seeing as we didn't get out of our car.
