Oh, how I love Thanksgiving! It felt so good to be with my family having been gone most of the first half of November.
Justin's family joined us for the day and we had a blast. We just enjoyed laughing and playing games, hot tubbing and eating yummy food.
In the evening, Dave took the kids over to Connie's house. I chose to stay at home because I was still sick with a cold and didn't want to get Brittney's babies sick.
Love, love, love, my family!!!!!

New Orleans ACTFL Conference for Jody- Day 5
The morning of our departure, about half of our group got up early to spend some time exploring the Lafayette Cemetery and the Garden District. We had so much fun taking a walking tour of the cemetery and learning about the people buried there. The gravestones were fascinating to me in design. I loved the tour!
Afterward, we strolled around the Garden District looking at the old homes there. I was starting to feel congestion come on and knew I was getting sick. No fun!
The plane ride home was difficult with my ears filling like they were going to explode.
I arrived home that night sooooo ready to be with my beautiful family whom I missed like crazy!

New Orleans ACTFL Conference for Jody- Day 4
We certainly maximized our learning opportunity at the final session of the ACTFL conference in New Orleans. I went to multiple break out sessions that were incredibly helpful.
After our final session, we walked along the Mississippi to the Natchez Riverboat for an evening of feasting, jazz music, and laughing as we cruised down the river. It was a truly unforgettable experience.
