We arrived at the new SLC airport early enough to relax since the last time we flew as a family (return trip from Florida in 2019), Jaxson and I almost missed the flight due to the kids leaving Dave's computer in the rental. As our luck would have it, Taylor's birth date did not match her ticket. After standing in 2 longs lines, we finally made it through security, waited for Alyssa at Starbucks, and when we arrived at the gate asking if we had time for the bathroom, the worker said she was locking the door in 2 minutes. STRESS!
The flight to Orlando was really nice. We slept and watched movies. At the airport, we took an Uber to Connie and Ken's house and then learned that our rental had been given away because we were late getting there to pick it up. Yikes! So we rolled the dice on renting a car the next day (due to Covid, the fleets are lower so there were no 6 passenger vehicles to rent!).
We all squished into Connie and Ken's van and went to Burger Fi where we ate the most delicious hamburgers, fries, and onion rings. Then we went to Disney Springs for some Ghiradelli ice cream and entertainment. Oh, Florida! We missed your warmth, sunshines, and energy! So excited for our trip!
