California! Forest Lawn Cemetery, Lindsay BBQ and Disneyland!

By the time we arrived in CA, we were ready for some more action! Vegas had been fun and we were ready for part two of our adventure!

We began with several hours at a cemetery called Forest Lawn where Dave's grandparents and uncle are buried. We found their graves and spent a long time digging out the holes where you can put flowers.

Later on in the day, we drove to cousin Jimmy's house for BBQ ribs. The Lindsay clan in CA is known for the best ribs I've ever eaten. Seriously! We enjoyed the afternoon and evening with Dave's cousins.

DISNEYLAND!
I want to know why everyone thinks Disneyland is so magical? We've been twice now and both times, I've felt hot, sweaty and ripped off by the end! It cost our family $310 dollars to enter and another $100 in food by the time we left. Dave was ready to go after only 6 hours so do the math: quite the expensive experience which the kids liked a lot but not as well as the beach and Sea World. Lesson Learned!

Butterfly Beach in Carpenteria- the afternoon before Jeff's Wedding

How we LOVED the beach! It was a nice day, probably in the mid 70s, with a nice breeze. After lunch, we all headed for Butterfly Beach and spent the afternoon in the sun and water. The kids loved the experience! They were in and out of the water, building sand castles and burying each other in the sand.

One highlight was getting to meet Jenny's darling son, Pierce! He was as cute and sweet as they come!

Jeff & Nicole's Wedding in Carpenteria

The time finally arrived for the event which brought us all to California together: Jeff and Nicole's Wedding! It ended up to be a beautiful event and we all had the greatest time!
Jenny looked stunning. Beautiful jewelry as usual too!
Some pictures right before the ceremony began. McKay, Jeff's son, was the best man!
Beautiful baby girl in her white dress and favorite blue bow!
Here comes the bride!
Brandon and Charlotte won the trooper award. Sadie threw up all over Charlotte just moments before the ceremony began. I would have cried but Charlotte was a gem!
Dad officiated the ceremony for Jeff and Nicole. He really did a fantastic job.
