St George Vacay Day 4: Brazil vs Scotland Pickleball and Water Wars!

We didn't want our vacation to be over, so we maximized the final day in St. George!  We got up and played Pickle ball in the morning, creating teams from Brazil vs Scotland (the land of our people).  Crazy fun!  Then we checked out of our gorgeous condo and headed for the pool where we had more water wars.  It was the best couple of hours.  The entire group of people at the pool ended up watching the kids/adults battle it out and even cheered along!

From the pool, we went to the Golden Corral to eat and then headed north to Utah County.

We had the best time together as a family!  I love making memories with the kids and hope in their adult lives they will experience a flood of warm memories when they look back on our adventures in St. George in 2021.

St George Vacay Day 3: Sand Hollow Adventures, Family BBQ, Games until 2am

Sand Hollow Reservoir was where we had our big adventure for day 3!  We rented jet skis and ripped around the reservoir for hours, paddle boarded, played frisbee, and enjoyed the gorgeous scenery.

Afterward, we went to Pieology for pizza and then to Nielsen's Custard for a concrete in honor of Aunt Suzie who LOVED eating ice cream there!

In the evening, cousins Kim and Zach came with their families for a BBQ.  It was just great being together with everybody and getting to know their children better.  We ended up on the deck again in the hot tub and around the fire, telling stories and laughing until the wee hours of the morning.  From there, we headed in to play more games with the kids (mafia-type games) and then hit the pillows for our final night.

St George Vacay- Day 2: Hiking The Narrows in Zion National Park

We arose at 4:20am to drive to Zion National Park for an adventure hiking The Narrows. Even arriving at 6:00am, there was a crazy long line for the shuttle which caused us to wait until after 7:00am to board the shuttle.  The day was perfect for the hike!  It was super warm, but not even cool.  The Colorado river was cold but not too icy.  Just the perfect amount!  We ended up hiking from the shuttle stop almost 7 miles, making our entire adventure the distance of a half marathon. The views were breathtaking.  Our love of God's earth deepened and our love sharing the experience with our family heightened.

We ate on our way back to the condo and then slept for several hours.  While cousin Doug's family had family pictures taken in Snow Canyon, we played pickle ball and just hung out.  The evening was spent playing games and hanging out in the hot tub with the fire pit on the deck.
