Happy 80th Birthday, Aunt Colleen!

On the weekend of June 16th, the Carson family gathered together to celebrate the birthday of Aunt Colleen!  It was the big 80!  Barbara and Joan planned a celebration never to be forgotten.  The decorations were gorgeous and festive, the food was divine, the rope twirling was world class and the memories will live on for years.

 The Gift
One of our cousins works in the jewelry industry.  She arranged for beautiful earrings and a necklace as a family gift to commemorate birthday #80.  Aunt Colleen LOVED the gift!

ROPE TWIRLING
This was the best!  Joan brought all of these ropes that they used to use in their rodeo performances to bring back the memories!  Barbara and Aunt Joan got spinning them and brought the house down with applause and of course, over a dozen video cameras!  Here are some of my favorite pictures:

Sunday Evening in the Park
The next evening, we met at the Lindon City Park for a light supper.  We wrapped up the birthday celebration with left-over cake, great talks and lots of relaxing.

Happy Father's Day, Dave and Poppie!

Austin and Mandy were born within hours of each other in 2006!  Sonya always takes pictures of the two of them together so she can mark their growth.
What a wonderful celebratory weekend of a great lady and her family.  Happy 80th Birthday, Aunt Collen!  We hope you continue forward with good health and lots of happiness!

Baby Girl become BIG GIRL!!!!!

AHHHH, the youngest.  Kissed the most, spoiled rotten without forgiving, doted on by everyone, protected by the older siblings---that's our girl!  She's our "Baby" and her siblings even call her that.  Yet this June, Alyssa has showed us she is now a big girl.

While shopping in Wal-mart, we walked past the bike isle.  Alyssa wanted desperately to ride a few bikes so we put her on one.  To my shock, she rode up and down the isle!  I took these pictures and sent them to Dave, asking him if he would feel good about me spending $70.00 on a bike for her.  He was great and said to "Go for it" but "don't forget to get a helmet too." :)  That's my Dave!  So Alyssa has a bike that she loves to ride.
