Taylor and Riley were in heaven! They are such good little friends and enjoyed their time talking together. We also got to visit with Sheila, Riley's aunt and education advocate, so it was a fabulous day for us. We captured a beautiful sunset at the end of the day which seemed to symbolize the beauty of friendship and love.

A Reunion with Riley Johnston!
We have missed our Riley doll! She spent some of the summer at her uncle's house in Heber so we had lunch with her between soccer games at a Park City tournament.

Utah Arsenal FC Cup
Alyssa played in her 3rd tournament during the 2nd week of July. Celtics took 2nd place to a fabulous team. We look forward to playing them again. I'm enjoying seeing the improvement Alyssa is making in soccer. Love spending time in the hot sun watching our girl!

Cousins Retreat in Salt Lake City
When Jenny and I were talking about her Utah plans at Preston's baptism, she mentioned she wanted to go to the Family History Museum on her way back from visiting mom and dad in Idaho. I mentioned it would be fun to have a picnic by the Capitol Building so we did! Jana brought her family as well so we called it our "Cousins Retreat" for the summer!
I chose to go early so I could show the kids the Capitol. We walked around the beautiful grounds and toured the first two floors of the building, including the spectacular rotunda! The kids were actually super impressed and thanked me for showing them Utah's Capitol.
When Jenny and Jana arrived, we drove down to Memory Grove Park for a yummy lunch before going to the Family History Museum. We had a wonderful time together with our cousins! Another wonderful summer day with the ones we love.

Happy 39th Meredith!
Happy Birthday to one of my dearest friends! Adrian and I took her out for an elegant lunch at The Trellis at Thanksgiving Point for a yummy salad and some complimentary cake on the veranda. We sure love Meredith and her positive influence on our lives.

The Most PERFECT Summer Day!
Jenny's family was in town so they decided to baptize Preston in Utah where so much family is. We were excited to participate in his baptism with the Hatch and Stratton families. We miss Jenny. The kids keep talking about how sweet and kind she is. My heart breaks a little that they don't know her like they should because she lives so far away. We will be making more trips down to AZ to build relationships better with my sisters!
As we were leaving, Dana and Yolanda called to invite us to go boating at Deer Creek. Dave and I needed naps so they took 3 of the kids and we came later with pizza and homemade cookies. We had an incredible time! Jaxson got up on the surf board and surfed super well! Landon got up too for the first time. Yolanda showed us all how it is done. We boated until 10:00pm and just embraced the warm summer night!
