Christmas at the Lindsays 2006

Before the kids went to bed on Christmas Eve, they each opened 1 present under the tree from mom and dad. It was pajamas!

After pictures, the kids went off to bed. We talked to Ginger on the phone (as she is in New Zealand on a mission) for about 45 minutes. Cheri and Cindy came over as well. We were excited about Cindy spending the night and celebrating Christmas morning with us and the kids.
CHRISTMAS MORNING!!!!!!
We waited for Grandma Barbie and Poppie to come over for the kids to see what Santa had brought them.

Taylor was so excited to see her Ariel and Prince Eric dolls. Jaxson loved his new leapfrog station and Austin loved the caterpillar.

Kids simply make Christmas! We all smiled and laughed as the kids played opened and played with their new gifts. So much fun!

Around 1:00, Carson arrived with Cindy to see what Santa had brought him! He was so excited to see his presents!

In the evening, we went over to Grandma Barbie and Poppies house for a wonderful Christmas celebration. Cheri and Steve, Cindy and Carson and us sat down at another one of Barbara's gorgeous tables for cranberry chicken dinner. After we ate, we exchanged family gifts.

Christmas Eve 2006 at Justin and Jana's House

This year, we celebrated Christmas eve at Justin and Jana's house. Uncle Doug, Doug Ray and Melissa, Brantly and us arrived at their beautifully decorated home for a yummy turkey dinner at 6:00pm.

After dinner, the kids had a fun "white elephant" gift exchange. They were each so excited about the opened gift that there were no exchanges. While the kids dashed off to play with their new presents, the adults had their own white elephant gift exchange. The most desired gift, and therefore the most traded, was the "IF" book- for the game of love. Everybody loved the prompts. Afterwards, we cranked up the song RAG DOLL (thanks again Jana for the gift) while the kids danced and danced.

Always a darling grin from Austin!

After dinner, white elephant gifts and dessert, we had our more reverant part of the evening. Uncle Doug read the story of the birth of the Christ while the kids acted out the story as best they could. Brendon was Joseph and Madison was Mary. Taylor was a shepherd and Jasmine was an angel. Jessica was a wiseman. Jaxson could not be convinced to take part in the story but added himself as only Jaxson could by hitching a ride on the donkey (Justin) into Bethlehem behind Mary........

December Snowstorm

Early in the evening as the snow finished falling, the kids BEGGED their dad to build a snowman. They all bundled up and went out to roll snow. However, the snow ended up too powdery (is that a word?) to roll. So on to plan B- snow angels!

The kids couldn't help but to throw snow down Dave's bibs! His reaction was classic!

Winding up to hit the camera man......ME!

One Saturday Morning....

One Saturday morning, I heard the kids yelling for me to come into the boys' room. When I walked in, I found that Taylor and Jaxson had taken over Austin's crib.....but they were having so much fun, I knew I had to capture the moment on film!

Taylor- relaxing as only a "princess" can do!

Jaxson----this face says it ALL!

Austin has the best personality in the world! We constantly kiss him to pieces!

Good-bye until next time, Mommy!

Thanksgiving 2006

Our Thanksgiving celebration could not have been more fun or memorable! During the morning, while waiting for Dave to come home from work, I had the kids make hats. The kids and I chose Ind ian names for themselves and then preceeded to write the things for which they were grateful on the feathers of their bands!

While we were cleaning up from dinner at Cheri and Steve's, the kids suddenly came upstairs SCREAMING while holding their chests! They had been sliding down the stairs and had massive carpet burns on their chests! It was hard not to laugh as we watched Dave bandage them up.
In this picture, both Carson and Taylor had settled down on Poppie's lap. I said, "Come on, you two! Let's see some tears!" Immediately there were tears and screams.
