Halloween Day Party at Grandma Barbie's!

Okay, so my children have been very blessed in life with wonderful grandparents! And today, Grandma Barbie certainly outdid herself! She invited the kids over at noon for a Halloween lunch and afternoon of cookie/cupcake decorating. When we arrived, she had made chicken fingers, jello and celery- all favorites of the Lindsay kids!

Here are some of our favorite pictures:

Granda Barbie and her kids!

One more look at Taylor with this darling witch! Tae loved that they were matching!

Pumpkin Carving and Jaxson's Highlight!

We finally carved pumpkins with the kids! They had the greatest time! I made homemade caramel apples on a stick. Yummy!

This week was Jaxson's highlight! He was so excited to be recognized. We made a poster to show his classmates. On another day, he took a favorite toy.

Daddy's Little Girl

There are few things which melt my heart more than watching my husband love on our children. Is it because children are extensions of ourselves? I'm uncertain, but I do know this: my eyes NEVER stray from Dave's sweet interactions with any of our children!

Here is Dave with his girl!

New Nikon 5000

We have a new camera! A Nikon 5000 and it is so nice! Here are some of the pictures we took practicing with it-

Favorite Fall Photos!

A few weeks ago, we enjoyed a beautiful fall day at the zoo in SLC! Our dear friends, the Johnstons, accompanied us there for the afternoon. The kids had a blast looking at the animals. Austin was very excited to see the snakes for some reason. I, on the other hand, chose that moment to stay outside and nurse the baby in front of everyone.

Here are the Johnstons: Steve, Jen, Riley and Ella

Our Family!
Dave has his own little tradition to always have a picture of him and his children in front of the giraffes! It is fun to see him with 1 child, then 2, then 3 kids and now with our baby girl!
Lunch with the zebras!

What a blessing this baby is in our lives!

Austin, Taylor and Jaxson in front of the zebras!

It was so much fun to have Jen and Steve with us! Steve and Dave call each other the "brothers from different mothers."

We love the zoo!!!!!
I threw a baby show for my youngest sibling, Ginger, a few weeks ago. We had a small crowd but had the best time!

Alyssa gets carried around the house all day by her brothers and sister! I had to capture the view I always see when the kids walk around with her. Is she the happiest baby or what?

Daddy LOVES his little girls!

In September 2009, we traveled up the Idaho to officially celebrate Grandpa Hatch's 100th birthday! There was a huge crowd of people who traveled hours to attend. Grandpa Hatch is truly a champ!
My brother Jeff and his new bride, Nicole.

This is a classic expression of Grandpa!

I will ALWAYS cherish this picture of my family with Grandpa Hatch on his birthday. He is my only living grandparent (for Dave too). What a treasure it is to have him in our lives!

Has It Really Been 2 Months Since I Posted?

Oh, people! Family, friends, it has been a CRAZY couple of months around here! I haven't exercised, really cleaned my home nor slept since school started 2 months ago. To say we have been busy doesn't even begin to cover our lives as of late. Here is a quick summary of what we have been doing:

1. SOCCER. It is finally over. Fun for Jaxson, fun for his family, except for Austin who bawled each time there was practice or a game for Jax. I reminded him, he is only 3 and can play next year.

2. DANCE. Taylor takes a hip hop class on Monday night and a jazz/tap class on Tuesday evening. She LOVES them both. I guess I'll have to get over the scary dance moms.....

3. HOMEWORK. Homework in our home takes a long, long time and far more patience than I was born with. Yet I am so proud to say, we have seen much, much improvement and progression from our children!

4. READING. We read around here now. Taylor and I tackled "Charlotte's Web" together. It was a bit tough for Taylor but she flew through her new favorite book, "Sarah, Plain and Tall." Jaxson LOVES school, even though at parent/teacher conferences, his teacher told us she thinks he has ADD. Like THIS was a shock for us.....

5. MOBILE BABY. Yes, Alyssa is mobile and it is crazy now! She is everywhere. Still the cutest little monkey in the world! :)

Well, I am going to be up for the next several hours working on a new unit for the high school students which begins next week. Have to get my copies done and to copy center asap. I'll post pictures soon.
