Jaxson's Baptism- June 2, 2012

Although Jaxson turned 8 back in April, we had several conflicts with both the April and May baptism days so we made plans for June 2nd. It ended up to be a blessing in disguise because we were able to finish out the school year and activities with less stress and so many of our family members were able to attend.

Brandon's family came a day early.  We enjoyed holding their new baby and watching the kids play while the boys enjoyed a round of golf.  Jeff & Nicole, Uncle Doug and mom and dad came over later for a BBQ as well.

On Saturday, we attended Jaxson's baptismal service.  We felt so blessed and supported by so many friends and family members.  Even our bishop commented that it was one of- if not- the largest baptisms he has seen in his 5 years.   Jaxson was so happy for the support of those he loves too.

After the service, we came to our home for a luncheon.  Here we are!

We had the most lovely day!  Later that night, Jaxson wanted to sleep on the floor in our bedroom.  Right before he dozed off, he exclaimed, "Mom, today has been the best day ever!"  That's right, son.  It was the  best day ever, filled with new spiritual covenants, membership in a true church and surrounded by loved ones.  Yes, the best day yet.

Seriously I don't think it matters doing it too close to the birth date..glad you were able to have less stress and more family, that's really what matters more. And congrats Jax! Your back yard is so gorgeous!
