Oh, Austin! You are such a wonderful gift of a human being and more importantly, our son. You have grown and matured so much over the past year. We rely on your knowledge, your ability to build others, and the way you hug us and say, "I love you" unabashedly. You call to check how my day is going and I love that so much about you. I have cherished my time driving you each morning to MTEC--or for your ride to MTEC-- because I know this time is precious and will change as you move to your next steps in life. I thank my Heavenly Father multiple times each day for you. Love you, mom

Five.12 Foundation Service Project Turns Nostalgic!
When I arrived at Five.12 for a service project with the Manila Creek 8th Ward youth, I had no idea how meaningful it would be for me. About 10 minutes into the project, a handsome man approached me and asked if I was Frau Lindsay. It was Christian Holbrook, one of 5 brothers I taught at Oak Canyon. We spent the next 50 minutes talking as we moved through the assembly line again and again.
During our conversation, Christian told me he was the only one in his family who was currently active. I asked him what made him stay. He said there were 2 things: one, when he was taking the discussions, he loved the idea that members are always trying to improve, to be more like Jesus and two, the spirit converted him and he couldn't deny that. I felt the spirit testify to me that the gospel of Jesus Christ is real. It was truly an inspired meeting and I left with a cup that runneth over.

Karaoke with Yolanda's Family
We spent an hour at Yolanda's house on a Sunday evening singing karaoke and eating some of Brycelynn's brownies. My kids are just awesome! They took the mic and sang and sang which delighted the Dujardin children. I was just proud as could be.

North Gem Class of 88 Girls Night Out
On Saturday afternoon, I met Camille Redford Honeycott in Draper to drive to Maddox in Brigham City for dinner with my North Gem Class of 88 girls. We spent 2 hours listening to each other's stories, learned about their children, heard hard things and things to celebrate. I felt so much gratitude to have had such solid friends surround me as I grew up in Chesterfield, Idaho. This is a tradition I have to keep! As we were leaving, Camille Rindlisbaker Monk whispered in my ear, "Don't ever change." I hope I can keep the parts of me that uplift others and change the parts of me that are character weaknesses.

Doug's Dead Poet Society- an enjoyable afternoon at Summit!
On a wonderful Friday afternoon, I drove down to Summit High School to listen to some kids, whose lives have been harsh, recite inspiring poetry. Uncle Doug was in his element! He just keeps making the world a better place. I was in awe and oh-so proud of him.
