Celebrating Thanksgiving with the Lindsay/Hatch/Jentzsch/Nielsen Clans!

It was such a great Thanksgiving this year! We gathered at our home in Cedar Hills with Justin and Jana's family, Jeff and Nicole's family, Doug and Melissa's family, our family, and Uncle Doug. (Meredith stopped over too for games and visiting)

Our Thanksgiving day began with the Brazil World Cup game....so fun, especially since Brazil won with some pretty amazing soccer.

Dinner was incredible. Dave made 2 turkeys for the meal: traeger and deep fried. Both were delicious. Our dinner was pretty incredible thanks to everyone's contributions.

After dinner, several of us went on a walk on the trail and up in the foothills where we got up close to deer.

Last, games!  We played Liar's Dice and a Nielsen family favorite: Mafia!

We enjoyed each other's company so much. I love being with family and am grateful for every one of them.

Happy Heavenly Birthday, Carter!

Our tender-hearted Meredith prepared a celebration of Carter on what would have been his 19th birthday. We did random acts of kindness, gathered at her house for Carter's favorite food---pizza--- and his requested cake. There were tears of sorrow and joy.  Carter, we miss you.

Unforgettable Wisdom Teeth Removal for the Boys

When I scheduled both boys' wisdom teeth to be removed on the same day, I didn't realize how that decision may impact ME.
Austin went first. Jaxson was pretty nervous since his removal was going to be a little more complex. When Austin came into recovery, he was soooo chill saying things like, "I feel great. I feel good." The nurse was cracking up over how chill he was.

Then Jaxson arrived....with peace signs and concert vibes! He was hilarious with all of his party-like talk. And then the tears came. He wanted to go to Dad's office to see him and cried and cried. All within 1 minute.

When I went to get the car, the nurses wished ME luck with the boys. And for the next 48 hours, I set alarms for pain meds to keep them comfortable. And fed them whatever they wanted.  And pampered them.
I love my sons!
