Fall Break 2014

I love to teach, but I really LOVE my breaks from teaching!
This fall break was fun, kind of relaxing, and filled with family bonding experiences.  I wanted to get the kids excited about hiking so I planned a couple of adventures for our family.  We rode up to Suncrest and hiked the south side of the mountain.  The trees were stunning with bright yellows, oranges, and reds.  We loved the views too.  I kept saying things like, "Don't you wish we were inside playing the playstation?" and Austin would say, "NO!  This is so much better!"

My Lovelies!

Later that evening, we were invited to the Jonssons for a nighttime swim in their warm pool.  The kids loved the evening and so did I.

On another day,  I took the kids up Battle Creek Canyon with my brother, Jeff, and the Wilson brothers.  We loved the hike and the memories we made.

In the evening, we went as a family to the BYU Football game against UNLV.  It was so much fun!  The kids loved it and Dave and I loved it even more.   We were happy we brought the kids.

We were worried this might happen to our baby.....

It was a wonderful Fall Break filled with color, nature, games, and family.  Nope, it doesn't get much better than that!

Fall Fun at Cornbellys

We went to Cornbellys with Poppie and Grandma Barbie on a cool Fall night in October.  Cheri and her kids met up with us later.  I love a night at Cornbellys.  It is loaded with activities and visual sensations for all ages to enjoy.

Poppie and Austin had some fun playing tether-ball.  They both laughed and had a blast!

Here the kids and Poppie are racing plastic ducks.  So fun for all!

Lost in the Corn Maze
Jaxson and Austin got lost for about 30 minutes in the corn maze.  I started to worry a little as it got darker and darker.  I hate not knowing where my kids are.  Finally we found them!

The Corn Kernel Pit:  the kids played here for about 40 minutes.  They kept playing "The Biggest Loser" by stuffing their shirts with the kernels and then letting them fall out.

The pumpkin pyramid was bright and lively!  We loved picking out our favorite shapes.

How strong is this girl?
The kids loved testing their strength and hearing the bell ring!  We loved here.
