Hotdogs, Guitar & Song, Canyon Memories!
One of my favorite summertime activities is going up the canyon for an evening of roasting hotdogs and marshmellows, singing songs with the guitar and relaxing with the kids. We have been up American Fork Canyon several times now with Steve and Jen's family. Fun, fun, fun!

End to the Lindsay coolness- the purchase of the family mini van!
With gas prices on the rise, I have been feeling like our black Durango will be shortly worthless in a matter of a few months. We ended up selling it and buying a Toyota Sienna. I told the gentleman who sold it to us that I felt as though I aged 10 years in one evening now that I drive a family-looking vehicle.
I have to be honest-after driving this van for only a few days, I wish I would have purchased a van years ago! It has been SOOOOO easy getting our children in and out, it has WAY more room than the Durango and Dave even says I look like a sexy 58 year old driving it; ALL good reasons why we are thrilled with the purchase!
Dave also sold his car and purchased a Toyota truck so I guess we are sadly not supporting the American-made manufactorers for a time.

Austin's Stitches!
There I was at work, just two days to go before the school year was over, when I received a phone call from Julie, our incredible child care provider. "Is everything okay?", I asked. Julie replied, "No, Austin just fell and the cut is deep. He needs stitches." Dave met me at the Instacare and he got four stitches. Poor kid! They wrapped him like a burrito and we held him down best we could. Austin screamed and screamed. Anyway, here are a few pictures of him with the blue thread on his head!

Memorial Day- Visiting every cemetary in Sanpete County
Well, it wasn't THAT bad but we sure seem to have many, many relatives buried there! The kids and I went with mom and dad for the day. For lunch, we stopped in Ephriam for lunch with Cindy and Carson. After we arrived back at Cedar Hills, all of our friends brought pizza over for supper. It turned out to be a really great day!

Happy 68th Birthday Grandpa Hatch!
Dad and mom came down for the weekend of Memorial day so we were able to celebrate Dad's birthday with the kids. I made a cinnamon/apple cheesecake and cupcakes. The kids loved helping Dad blow out the candles.

Ginger and Joshua continue to believe they are the "hot couple" of the family. Yet it is general knowledge that Dave and Jody still have that title.....

Sleeping Boys!
Jaxson and Austin love their mother. I mean, REALLY LOVE their mother! They constantly fight to see who gets to sit on my lap during prayers or lay down by me in the evenings when we watch tv. On this evening, we were watching "American Idol" when they both crashed. It was so funny that Dave hat to shoot a picture of it!Taylor's 7th Birthday
Taylor turns seven years old!

We had a great time for Taylor's 7th birthday. We had a small family party with Poppie, Grandma Barbie, Aunts Cheri and Cindy and cousin Carson. We had BBQ, salads and yummy cake for dessert.
In the Lindsay family blog, we do not lie and tell you that our children are always happy, peaceful, and best friends! Here is one of never-dying moments......
