Honolulu for the win today!
Our family drove to Diamond Head National Park for a reservation to hike in the heat of the day. We took our water, added sunscreen, and headed up the trail anticipating the views we were soon to experience.
Like I expected, the top took my breath away. All of our sweat and fatigue were worth it all. The sweeping city of Honolulu, the lush green mountain sides, deep blue ocean....just gorgeous!
After our hike, we went to eat at Rainbows. Delish! Then off to Pearl Harbor. Nothing is "fun" about Pearl Harbor but the kids were able to make American connections to WW2 in Germany.
We wrapped up the evening at the resort. I enjoyed a pina colada with Taylor on the beach with some light guitar music and another spectacular sunset.
