Day 4:
We took a bullet train from Paris to the French Riviera. The countryside was starting to look like spring with green hills and leaves starting to pop on trees. The further south we traveled, the more colors of spring we found in the trees and flowerbeds.
Nice is so nice! The weather was in the upper 60s and sunny when we arrived. The palm trees and beach front on the Cote de Azur were inviting! We enjoyed dinner downtown, ate yummy gelato, watched Palm Sunday traditions, and then went for a stroll on the world-famous Promenade de Angles for a few hours.
PALM SUNDAY
It was Palm Sunday so we were able to experience the rich Catholic tradition of the carrying of palm branches out of the church. So lovely!!!
We are already thinking this region called "The French Riviera" is going to be something special.
