Twas the day before Christmas break and where would we go?
But to Deerfield, of course, to hear carols both fast and slow!
Alyssa was embarrassed yet happy we were there,
Just eye rolls and stares made the hour easy to bare!
Our last and only child to scream (sing) the Deerfield carol,
One more year of elementary programs with Christmas apparel!
