Ginger and I a great job of preparing things to do for the reunion (if I do humbly say so). We had so many great things planned...yet let everyone know that they could do what they wanted too! It worked perfectly because we all wanted to hang out together anyway. We had the Hatch Family Wimbleton Tennis Tournament, paddle boarding, jet skis, crafts, a service project, family pictures, swimming, board games, Minute to Win it, raspberry shake runs, and family time after dinner each night where we got to hear a spiritual thought from dad and have a little more fun together.
All 7 children, their spouses, and 26 grandchildren all wrote letters to mom and dad expressing what their lives and marriage meant to them. I worked for 3 days straight to finish the book....and it turned out beautifully! In fact, it turned out so nice, most of the siblings ordered a copy for themselves too.
We are grateful for mom and dad's example and the love/service they give to each of their children. The in-laws in the family all say that we are independent as couples yet we have each others' backs. Mom and Dad really raised us to cleave to our spouses and families, to focus our energies on serving God while raising our families.
Here's to 50 years! #foreverfamily
