2025 Hatch Family Reunion - Day 1 (Lava Hot Springs and Cabin Energy)

 "Coming Home" was the theme for the 2025 Hatch Family Reunion in Chesterfield, Idaho and what an incredible experience we had in a short few days together.

The reunion kicked off at Lava Hot Springs at the pool. The kids quickly took their energy to the pool and enjoyed hours competitive water basketball (thanks to Uncle Brandon, Uncle Jeff, and Uncle Dave). Grandma and Melanie showed up with 12 large pizzas that were delicious for our crew. 

The highlight from Lava was Nicole and Jeff announcing they are expecting a baby in December!!!!! 

Around 4:30, we drove to Neibaur mountain to Janalee's childhood home that mom and dad rented for our crew over Memorial Day Weekend. The cabin's views of the valley and mountains were spectacular! The kids quickly started football games on the grass while we waited for more family to arrive.

Dinner was pulled pork sandwiches and then more games! The cousins picked up right where they left off.

2025 Utah Seal of Biliteracy

This year, we’re proud to celebrate a record number of ASD seniors who have earned the Utah Seal of Biliteracy!These incredible students have demonstrated an intermediate-mid proficiency level in English and in one or more world languages—an achievement that sets them apart as true global citizens.

Being bilingual isn’t just about speaking more than one language—it’s about building bridges, fostering understanding, and being prepared to thrive in a diverse, interconnected world.

And let’s hear it for our World Language teachers! They are committed learners and practitioners, risk-takers who blaze trails for richer, deeper learning experiences. We honor you!

Last, thank you to our ASD school board and DLT for their support in providing spaces and resources for professional learning.

Let’s celebrate the hard work, dedication, and the power of language to unite us all.

Memory-makin' Magic

Cruisin’ through the mountains with my girls, wind in our hair and laughter bouncing off the canyon walls. There’s nothing like jeep rides that turn into memory-making magic.  Grateful for this wild, wonderful ride together.
