Dave & Jody's Visit to Sahuarita, AZ: Day 1

Dave and I took a few days for a quick visit to mom and dad and my beautiful sisters in Arizona. We caught a super early flight out of Provo (thanks Jaxson for coming home to help!) and landed in Phoenix at 8am. A 35 minute Uber ride took us to Maricopa where mom and dad were working on cleaning up a house that a renter had trashed. Dave is so generous with his talents and got right to work helping Dad with some plumbing while seeing patients in between.

After our drive to Sahaurita, we took naps and then helped mom make clam chowder for dinner. Ginger's family came over to eat and play games which was so much fun. I decided Ethan and I needed to arm wrestle to really determine who won the card game. Just a wonderful night!

Superbowl 2024

What a wonderful, fun afternoon and evening we had as we cheered on the 49ers and Chiefs in the 2024 Superbowl! Meredith and Clara, Connie and Ken, and Jaxson and Austin's friends came over for mounds of yummy food and football. Meredith and Taylor joined Usher for the halftime show in the living room. We loved it! So much fun!

Exiting a class at BYU where I was the guest presenter, I heard those beautiful words ring out in a crowded hallway that represent 30 years of teaching incredible youth who are the most admirable adults, professionals, influencers, parents, community and religious leaders etc in 2024.
