Day 5: Hatch Family Mexican Riviera. Puerta Vallarta

Puerto Vallarta has all of the natural charm from its beaches flanked by the Sierra Madre mountains. Gorgeous! The city has  an authentic Mexican taste and spirit.

Dave and I had left this day open without an excursion. It was 75 degrees and we hadn't even been able to swim at the pool. So we decided to stay on the ship and enjoy our day there. And we did.

Towel art, swimming, mango coladas, and sun----it was heavenly!  We ended up disembarking the ship for a little shopping close to the ship where we purchased jewelry for the kids and me as souvenirs. They all loved their presents and we loved giving them.

In the evening, we went to shows, ate dinner, and took videos of Puerta Vallarta by night as the ship left the harbor heading north.  Magical!

Day 4: Hatch Family Mexican Riviera Cruise. Mazatlan

Dave and his chain.

Mazatlan. It's a historic capital. It's a beach resort. It's a lively, romantic town. Mazatlan treated us like old amigos. The beaches, food, weather, and adventures made us want to stay a longer.

Our group divided into excursions that took us through the old city of Mazatlan, on wagon rides around Stone Island, and to vibrant beaches at beautiful resorts like the Playa del Sol.  It was a great day!
