Mother's Day 2020

When I was a little girl, I dreamed of having a family.  I knew I also wanted to do something professionally, but always "on the side" because I wanted to be invested and involved in the lives of my children.

My dreamy husband has given me this greatest blessing and made my dreams a reality! I have four people in this world who call me "mother." And my heart still soars each time I hear it.

Mother's Day was just wonderful.  Taylor was up at the crack of dawn making crepes while letting me be lazy in bed.  Grandma Barbie and Poppie joined us for a yummy breakfast and then sacrament meeting (Covid-19 still thriving) in our home.  I was given some beautiful flowers by my husband, Cheri, and my ministering sisters along with a book and poem.  Dave and I enjoyed a cuddly walk on the trail with the valley views.

I couldn't ask for more that the love of my children, husband, and family. Yes, my cup runneth over.

Weeks 4-5 of the Coronavirus Social Distancing: Filters and Remodeling!

Lots of nights by the fire pit, fun with filters, homework for Dave, and then the remodeling project.

“This horse is on its final lap.” Dave just informed me he is too old for future remodeling projects so the HGTV magic is quickly fading. 💪⚒🤣
Lights in, tile laid, shower pan and red guard, paint done. Next: grout floor and tile the shower! #lindsayfamilyconstruction #giddyup #familyprojectsincovidworld

A 50th Birthday Celebration To Remember!

I am so blessed.
So very blessed with the things that matter most in life: people.
My husband, beautiful children, family, colleagues, friends, loved ones, ward members.

The kids had been working for a week on my birthday plans.  With Covid-19 causing us to social distance, I knew there wouldn't be parties or dinners eating out- and that was just fine!  I wanted to be with those in my life who love me.
The day didn't disappoint.  It started with about 250 balloons on my bedroom floor, more out in the hall, and then the living room was packed with balloons and an arch that was spectacular!  Kneaders catered breakfast and arrived at 7:3am.  I was floored.
I had to work so I went to the office to hit it hard. Flowers started to arrive, texts and social media messages were pouring in, it was so special.
Lunch was delivered by Cup Bop (Korean beef) and my ministering sisters had flowers delivered, Olive Garden delivery, and more gifts. Cheri and Barbara stopped by to give me beautiful flowers and posters---so nice!
In the evening, cousin Doug stopped by with a poster.
And then a zoom call with my siblings.  They had 3 gifts sent to me: a potty for the elderly (hahaha), a charm bracelet with charms that remind them of me, and then an incredible book with 50 things they love about me.  I cried.  It was all so special.  I told Dave it's like everyone knows I am going to die except for me!
I am grateful for this unique and special day!
