The July 4th Weekend

We kicked off the 3 day holiday weekend with an afternoon and evening at Deer Creek Reservoir with Jeff, Nicole, cousin Doug, his family, and a whole lot of Brazilians.  It was the best afternoon. The spot we found had tons of shade.  The afternoon was spent on paddle boards and on the wave runner.

On July 4th, we awoke at 5:45am to see the balloons in Provo.  As we finally made it to the hospital, masses of people were heading toward us.  I saw a former student and her husband who told us that because of the light rain, the balloonist were packing up.  Shoot!  So we went back to the Yukon and went out to breakfast.  At 9:00am, we watched the parade with cousin Doug and his family.  On our way back to home our home, we made a stop to see the flag at Grove Creek.  We spent our afternoon napping and cooking for the BBQ and swimming at Yolanda and Dana's house.  Dave and a few kids ran over the Connie's later that night while I did homework/watched fireworks from my house.  It was a wonderful weekend spent with our family!

Enjoying A Visit From Brandon & His Family

The day Brandon took home his new baby after 10 weeks in the NICU, he drove with the other 4 kids and met our incredible parents in Cedar City for them to take the kids back to Idaho.  Mom and Dad drove back to our home, arriving at midnight, to get some sleep on their way back to Idaho.  The next morning, Taylor and mom were visiting about how she was going to handle the 4 kids when they decided Taylor should go with them to help!  It ended up to be such a blessing for mom to have her help.

After 10 days, they all met in Cedar Hills.  It was so cute to see sweet baby James' reaction to seeing his dad after 10 days!  We BBQed with everyone including Jeff and Nicole and ate homemade ice cream for dessert.  Yum!

The next morning, we played soccer and then went to the pond to go paddle boarding with the family.  The kids LOVED it!  Sydney was a natural on the board.  I love my family.
