Pioneer Day 2012

Some of my blog titles are becoming seemingly redundant because I take pictures of the same events each year....but everyone changes and the events are highlights in the life of our family.  Like July 24th.  We met at Molly's house for a scrumptious BBQ, outdoor movie and great company.  Here are some of my favorite pictures:

This is what we brought! :)

Pretty Girls, all 7 of them!

It was Bill's birthday so Molly made him a red velvet cake.  He hates the spotlight, attention etc but LOVED the cake!

Alexa's shirt matched the yummy cake....

We had to wrap up our evening a bit earlier when it started to lightly sprinkle on us.  It was another awesome night with spectacular view of the valley, yummy food and the best people.:)

Bear Lake Reunion 2012

Another AWESOME Family Reunion at Bear Lake!  We arrived Friday night and enjoyed meeting with our extended family:  all 87 of them!  Aunts, Uncles, cousins, children of my cousins etc.  We see these same people almost every year so it continues to be a great reunion for us.

We camped.  Yes we did!  And we loved it!  The kids slept great.  In the morning, we were fed a wonderful breakfast before we hit the beaches of Bear Lake for the day.  Dave rented a wave runner for several hours and we loved doing that.  Taylor and Jaxson each got to drive with Uncle Justin so he told me I had to see what it felt like behind each child.  It was a strange transfer-of-power to hold the waist of a child with them driving you around!  But they were incredible drivers.
Austin and Kaden were best buddies.  They love each other so much and are inseparable.

 Cheese-ball Alyssa!

Austin and Dave waved on their way out.

Back at shore, Jaxson and Madison began to build a huge sand castle.

 Brinlee----we love you!

Justin, Taylor and Jessica arrived back from 30 minutes of crazy wave-running!

Finally, it was Alyssa's turn!  She went out with her daddy and she was fearless.  Dave loved it!

The Event Planner at the Blue Water Resort came by and announced that they were having a sand castle competition!  Every family along the beach started building.  There was a $75 visa card for 1st place, $50.00 for 2nd and $25.00 for 3rd!  Madison and Jaxson were certain their sand castle would win!  I told Grandma and Grandpa they have better have some dollar bills ready to give the grandkids.......

Best buddies, Best Cousins, Best Everything!

Jana and Brinlee, enjoying the lake!

Uncle Brantly brought his boat and took us all out tubing.  Here are fearless Jax and scared Madison:

Next:  Taylor and fearless Jax:

Next, Jessica and fearless Jaxson:

Next:  mom and Austin!

Last:  mom, Maddy and Tae Bug

What a great day!  Love my family, love the tradition, love Bear Lake!
