Friday Night at La Jolla Groves in the River Bottoms

On Friday night, we ate at the classiest, yummiest restaurant: La Jolla Groves! The entire plaza was aglow with lighted trees, outdoor entertainment and little fire pits to keep shoppers and restaurant patrons warm. The Hults, Johnstons, DuJardins and Nieportes were our company. Our reservations were for 6:30 and we ended up staying there until 11:00 just talking, laughing and recounting favorite memories.
La Jolla Groves, my new favorite place to eat!
The food was delicious and prepared healthy.

Good times at the restaurant!

Cracking up over something or other
(Notice how all of the tables behind us are empty? They were all full during dinner, but we stayed so late visiting, that we ended up being some the very last people out of the restaurant.)

Steve, always posing

Great times at the restaurant!

I was cracking up over Jen showing Meredith a stretch on the floor of La Jolla Groves

Caught you with the camera, Jen!

My iphone doesn't take great pictures in the dark, but here we are on our way out the door!

We kept warm by the fire and visited some more.

We enjoyed our night out with our dear friends. Great times yet AGAIN in Utah! :)

The Perfect Afternoon at Sundance!

Time to ski at....
SUNDANCE RESORT

Even though it was a bit on the cold side, I enjoyed the most beautiful day skiing at Sundance on a Thursday afternoon after work. Since our friends, the Johnstons, were in town, we planned an afternoon to hit the slopes with them and Nate H. I met the boys at the top of the mountain at 1:00. The sky was clear and the views......they were FANTASTIC! We all kept commenting about how we kept finding new mountain peaks that took our breath away.

Nate! What an athlete!

Oh, how we all had missed Steve-o!

Steve wanted me to take this pictures to send to his wife (which I did). There are always great times with Steve!

After a few hours of skiing, we took a break at the top of the resort.

On our last run, I had to get a few pictures of my man skiing. Bruce, Nate and I were down and watched Dave and Steve come down.
We call Dave "the great red chili pepper" in his bright red ski pants!
I was happy to see that Nate wore red too.

A little spray for the grand finish!

It was such a fun day with my husband and the boys. A special thanks to Grandma Barbie who watched the kids and got Taylor to dance so we could spend a few hours skiing.

Happy 2nd Birthday Alyssa Jean Lindsay!

Two years ago today, we welcomed our sweet little girl, Alyssa, into our family. We loved her from the get-go...her chunky cheeks, cute sounds and beautiful eyes!

Tonight, we celebrated Alyssa's 2nd birthday at our home. Several of our neighbors, Grandparents Lindsay and Cheri's family came over for an hour or so for some homemade German Chocolate cake, cupcakes and ice cream. We had the greatest time together. Alyssa loved the evening.
Smile!

Alyssa wasn't certain what to do with the candles.

Blowing the candles out!

She did it! She did it!

Enjoying the evening with friends and family

Alyssa got some toys, new clothes and shoes. She ran and ran through the house with her new shoes laughing. Poppi loved it!

We love our baby girl to death! We are grateful for her in our family. Can't imagine life without Alyssa Jean Lindsay!
