Madame President at 2026 UFLA

Every student deserves the chance to see the world through another lens.

Today I attended the 2026 UFLA conference, surrounded by inspiring world language educators—from first grade classrooms all the way through higher education. Being in a space with people who believe so deeply in the power of language reminds me of why I love my profession.
Every day, we’re helping students become bridge builders and connectors. Through language, they learn to see the world through another lens, to listen more closely, and to discover the humanity we share.

Happy 54th Birthday to our DAVE!

Such a wonderful day to celebrate an incredible man, husband, and father!

I made homemade Chinese food (scrumptious) and gave Dave a men's jewelry box which he LOVES!

Happy Birthday, Dave!

To Life, To Life, L'Chaim!

Nothing better than a night at “Fiddler on the Roof” with my favorite theater buddy—my daughter, Taylor

Watching my former German student, Ryan Ward, shine on stage was amazing! The most magical evening!
“To life, to life, l’chaim!”

A Sprinkle of This; A Sprinkle of That

What a special experience to learn that one of the BYU Methods students is the son of a former beloved student of mine from my first year teaching in Alpine School District. Ashley Francom He is as smart, charming, and witty as his mother was in the 1990s! hahahaha
Just the most beautiful experience I didn't know I needed....
