I love every opportunity I have to teach BYU classes and share with students the joys and challenges of a career in education. This year was no different, except that fewer and fewer students are choosing a career in education. It is alarming. These classes used to have 25-30; now, 4-6 students.

Headshots for the Hotshot

A month ago, I was invited by Language Testing International to be their guest presenter on a webinar that would go throughout the nation. They asked for several things, including a headshot.

I panicked.

My current ASD picture was horrible. Like even my former colleague, Cathey Jolley, told me when she saw it, she thought, "That is unfortunate." hahaha

So I decided I would try some AI Headshots. And this is what I got:

So I was explaining my plight to one of the Visual Arts Specialists (Koryn Coates) and 6 minutes later, she had an appt with a photography teacher at AFHS for me to get quick headshots. Once I arrived, it took us all of 8 minutes to walk to the studio, adjust the lights, take some pictures, import them to his computer, and choose 2 for me. He and his wife had just welcomed a new baby so I asked him if I could pay him $50 because I LOVE the pictures so much!
