Happy Birthday to our Austin and Jaxson!

Our Austin turned 16 this year!  He is just the most fascinating young man to us.  He LOVES to lift weights and has muscles bulging from living such a disciplined life. Austin also loves his family. He is so cute to always hug me and tell me he loves me so much. It just makes my heart swell with love for him.
Happy Sweet 16, Austin!  You're the best! We just love having you in our home. Thank you for being YOU!

2022 brought Jaxson's 18th birthday on April 4th!  We had just returned from New Mexico---and it was Spring Break (of course)--- so Jaxson chose to spend the day with family and with friends. We loved celebrating him and this upcoming transition into adulthood.
Jaxson loves his friends and his family too.  He is still the child who will follow through with a 10-star work ethic on his chores. He helps me so much, I can't even begin to think of him not living here.  We are excited for Jaxson's future and look forward to cheering him on.
We love you so much, Jaxson!  You're the best!

Snow College Evening of Jazz Music staring TAYLOR JAE LINDSAY

What a great evening!

We drove to Snow College during Spring Break to listen to our Taylor perform in an Evening of Jazz. She has been practicing with a group of Jazz musicians for several months and it was their evening to perform. She did an amazing job!!!!  We loved hearing our songbird perform.

Albuquerque, New Mexico with Celtic Soccer

5 States in 5 Weeks
Week 5: Albuquerque, New Mexico

What a surprise!  We really enjoyed New Mexico!  We drove down for yet another 2 games of soccer for Alyssa.  While she stayed with the team, the 4 of us had some adventures.

The drive was long and on a 2 lane highway.  We loved looking at new landscapes in Shiprock, AZ and Dove Creek.  The Moab area is always beautiful.  Monticello was smaller than we remembered.

One of my colleagues sent me some must-eat joints in New Mexico that didn't disappoint!  We ate at Los Cuates and had the best Mexico and New Mexican food we have ever eaten (according to Austin). We also were able to explore Old New Mexico where we found the most charming shops, church, restaurants, and beautiful street music.  We shopped, ate, and just enjoyed the 70 degree weather.

Alyssa's team got a loss and a win. While at the team's headquarters in the airbnb, our boys were super cute and kind with the kids.  Many parents expressed their gratitude to our sons for being inclusive and kind.

All in all, a wonderful weekend trip ..... a first to New Mexico!
