Happy Birthday America! Celebrating July 4th, 2020

COVID-19 changed our summer plans yet again! We were trapped in Utah County BUT made the best of it!  We got up early and was the 2nd tent at the Manila Pond for paddle boarding.  Connie and Cheri met us there for a fun morning in the water with the kids along with cousin Doug and Melissa.  Since it was cousin Doug's birthday, we got take out from Wallabys and drove to their home in Saratoga for dinner. We ate and then watched the Broadway sensation, "Hamilton" on Disney Plus. It was outstanding.  Afterward, we drove to the mouth of Provo Canyon to watch the fireworks show. We met Cheri and Cindy there, ate snow cones, and enjoyed the fireworks.  Love my family so much!

How is YOUR Summer Going?

Yep, it was Austin and we are glad it was not worse as seen by the picture of the fall from the Gunther's RING doorbell system.

Arm broken in 2 places. Gratefully, it didn't damage the growth plate or he would have had to have surgery.  Cast for 6 weeks. #CovidSummer2020

Alyssa Makes the Celtic Premiere Team Again: Coach Maddie Gates

We are super proud of Alyssa and her drive to excel. She made the Celtic Premiere Team for the 3rd year. Coach Maddie is new and deeply connected to BYU.  The BYU Women's Soccer Head Coach is in this picture and has been doing some coaching with the girls. Alyssa is lucky to be part of this experience.

Sister Lindsay Begins Her Mission: June 2020

Our missionary was set apart tonight for her service mission. It was one of the most touching experiences for the three of us.  President Livingston talked to her for a few minutes before bringing her into our room for the ordination.  He set her apart in one of the most beautiful blessings.  He blessed her and our family that we would be blessed from her service. He spoke of her relatives on the other side of the veil who would guide her during her mission. He told her she would plant seeds and bring others to Christ during her service, that her mission was for spreading the light of Christ to family and beyond.  We were touched, moved, and inspired!

After the setting apart, we drove to the temple for some pictures of our mission. We love her dearly and are thrilled for this experience Sister Lindsay is having!

Alyssa Gets New Flooring, Trim, and Paint during the Bathroom Construction

Yes, this is really my living room.  And yes, I may have shed a few tears when I saw it.

All I did was go to work for 4-5 hours.  When I came home, this was my living room and Alyssa's carpet and trim work was gone.  I don't even have a "before" picture to show for it.

The flooring went fast.  It is beautiful and bright, compared to the brown carpet we had, and compliments the bathroom so well!  After Dave laid the flooring and put up the trim, I filled the holes, sanded, and painted 2-3 coats to get it nice and bright!  We love the finished look!
