Normally this wouldn't make its own blog post, but with all of the social distancing and with the little contact we have had with our loved ones, I had to blog this sweet evening with cousin Doug and his family!

The Last Day of the 2019-20 School Year: Unforgettable
Deerfield wrapped up the school year with a teacher parade and then our Bishopric had a water fight from their cars. I love where we live!

Weeks 6-7 of Lindsay Family Bathroom Remodel
Alyssa still enjoys helping dad, Austin has become a pro at cutting tile, Jaxson seems to find legitimate reasons...excuses...for why he is too busy to help, Taylor is always away at work, Dave spends most of his time trying to solve the next obstacle and has forgotten how to shave, and I am scratching my head in disbelief of how far over budget we now are since Dave claimed, "We have all the tools" in the first place!

Memorial Day 2020: Payson Cemetery and a BBQ at Connie's
"We all carry inside of us the people who came before us."
This year, we enjoyed a lovely Memorial Day 2020 learning about Dave's side of the family from the matriarch of the Lindsay family who shared hours of ancestral stories in the beautiful Payson Cemetery. I was touched by the stories, by the tender way Dave would take his mother's arm as they walked from my grave to another, by the way the children wrestled with each other and their cousins. It was very special and cemented us even further to our Carson/Lindsay ancestors.
We enjoyed a BBQ in the evening at Connie and Ken's house. Memorial Day 2020 was wonderful!

Timbeeeeer! Trees, Flowers, and a Beautiful World!
It was early in the morning and I was out weeding (but of course). I glanced across the road and noticed that I could see Natalie's house way better than before! A trees was down and it looked amazing. Dave sprung out of bed when he saw Mike cutting down the trees in his yard, ran over to him, and asked him if he would cut down the big pine at the bottom of our driveway. The next thing I knew, both the pine and the cherry tree in front of the garage were gone---and our home looked brand new! Even Natalie and Mike kept saying how pretty our house is...now that they can see it again! LOL!
I love our home. Yes, the driveway is a beast but I love our home nestled up against the mountain with privacy, trails, views, and all sorts of wildlife to watch. Dave and I feel so very blessed.
