Dear Sister Lindsay, You are hereby called to serve.....

Ever since Taylor was a little girl, she has wanted to serve a mission.
Tonight, she opened this letter from President Russell M Nielsen and read the following:

“Dear Sister Lindsay,
You are hereby called to serve as a missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. You are assigned to labor as a service missionary in your local community, giving Christ-like service while living at home. Your stake president will counsel with you and clarify your assignment, which may include serving in community charitable organizations or in Church functions.”

Again, Taylor has wanted to serve a mission since she was a young girl. She will spread the light of Christ in whatever capacity or wherever she is assigned. We are thrilled for our daughter!

A Beautiful Easter Weekend

This year, I spent time each day teaching kids about the last week of the Savior's life, beginning with Palm Sunday.  We ended up coloring Easter eggs, making Easter cookies, and enjoyed a yummy Easter dinner on Sunday of shrimp, twice-baked potatoes, salad, and dessert.  I am grateful for the gifts of Jesus Christ that allow us to live eternally together.

Week 3 of the Coronavirus Social Distancing: Remodel, Family, and Fun

We picked out our tile and paint for our cupboards....and I went to work!  Dave was able to take down the mirrors and start creating the shiplap look for the bathroom.  Love him so much!

Happy Sweet 16th Birthday, Jaxson!

Happy 16th Birthday to the life of any party, Jaxson!
We are so grateful for our family, cousins, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and friends who sent Jaxson video messages that I put into a movie for him to enjoy.  We did take out for breakfast at Kneaders for Jax and a few friends.  They went walking while we enjoyed conference.  I had decorated our house for him so he would feel special.  Cheri and the kids came over to decorate our front door for him which was super nice. Phone calls, friends, presents....just a great day!
We love our Jaxson and can't imagine life without him.
