Florida was showing off for us today! We spent the morning swimming at the condo and then headed out to Cocoa Beach! The drive was awesome! It was only about an hour from our condo, had tolls galore, and then that white sand and blue Atlantic Ocean!
First, we shopped at Ron Jon's Famous Surf Shop where Dave surprised us all by saying he would buy them each one shirt/shoes etc (he is a softie; not me).
We drove further to find a local dive for lunch called "The Little Turtle" where we ate yummy Mahi Mahi tacos, nachos, and fries. Next door was "The Fat Donkey" where we lapped up the yummiest ice cream! The beach was lovely, but lots of seaweed. We were excited to see the rocket launch but were sad to learn it was canceled. All in all, it was an amazing day as a family!

And finally....after waiting months for this family trip to Orlando, we were off! We drove to SLC International for a red eye Jetblue flight to Orlando that departed around 9:50pm. We arrived in Orlando at 5:10am, had to wait for our rental Yukon, and then drove to Ken and Connie's new house in Davenport, about 40 minutes from the airport. We arrived there just as Ken finished up his morning jog and Connie ran to the store. We had a quick cereal and fruit breakfast, took a quick tour or their darling home and pool, and then crashed for 3 hours! When we awoke, we enjoyed Mexican food and a swim in the pool until it rained. Jaxson and I drove to Walmart to get some food for our condo and then we left for our new 8 day home: the Orlando International Resort! It turned out to be a beautiful resort! Our condo is 2 stories with 2 bedrooms upstairs, a deck that overlooks the pool and hot tub, lots of amenities, and is really nice! The kids and I enjoyed a dip in the pool that evening while Dave worked on some assignments due the next day. We are excited to be here in beautiful Orlando!
