For our maiden voyage of the Wolfpack Toyhauler Trailer, we decided to go big: a trip to central Idaho to the Sawtooth Mountains near Stanley, about an hour north of Sun Valley. Even better, Brandon, Charlotte, and two of their children (Syd and Brevan) came with us for the excursion. The surroundings were breathtaking. Truly exquisite! The people in the RV park were exceptionally nice and helpful to us, like when the CO2 alarm went off and we weren't sure what to do! LOL!

Park City Avalanche Soccer Tournament with Alyssa
We arrived back from participating in the Manti Pageant at 1:30am, went to sleep, and were on the road again at 6:00am for an 8:00am soccer game in Park City. Alyssa was a rockstar and handled it all like a pro! The girls played hard and won the 8:00am game and then played again at 11:00am and won that game too! We went out to eat at Kneaders and then headed back to our condo at the Westgate Resort for a nap and swimming! Later that evening, we went out for a salad and chicken, decided we were tired, and went back to the condo to turn in early.
As Alyssa was dosing off at 8:30pm, she told me her stomach hurt. I didn't think too much of it because she is always complaining of a stomach ache. At 11:00pm, she work me up to tell me she needed to throw up. And then she threw up every 30-60 minutes throughout the night! At 7:00am, I knew she was too sick to play the rest of the tournament so I contacted the coach to let him know. Coach Devin couldn't have been nicer (and more worried) about Alyssa. We waited until 11:00am and she was still violently throwing up, but we made a quick dash to the Yukon and headed home!
The Celtic Soccer team ended up with a heartbreaking loss in the championship game, losing by 1 in a shootout. Many of the parents expressed to Coach Devin that had Alyssa been there, they felt they would have won the game. So sweet! Next time!

We were IN the Manti Pageant!
What a special, special night! During my entire life, I have loved traveling to Manti to see the pageant, but never guessed in a million years that I would have the opportunity to be in the the pageant! Our nephew, Carson, was cast as Robert Browning, who searches for and joins the saints. His wife dies as she crosses the plains and promises that she will be there when he passes on one day...and then she dies. The story goes on about how Robert makes it to Utah and then at the end, he is shot by Indians. His resurrected body sees his wife, they embrace, and then they ascend the hill toward the choir of angels, all dressed in white, singing as they walk toward heaven!
The director of the show contacted Cindy to say she wanted to have a surprise for Carson: his family would be there behind the resurrected wife to greet him as he ascended to heaven. So we drove to Manti, watched the play up until Jesus arrived, and then went behind the scenes to dress all in white. We were behind a black sheet and suddenly the lights were on us! Carson's face lit up as he saw us and ran up the hill to hug everyone! We all had to hurry and move off and another Robert Browning character started to walk up the stairs toward the choir while we hugged each other and watched the ending. The pictures I captures of Carson are precious. It was a beautiful night as the Lindsay family was reminded that we are all part of an eternal family! God is real and his gospel brings peace.
