We were all a little nervous! It was time for the soccer championship game and we were playing the only team we had ever lost to...and we had lost both times during the season to them! I told Alyssa just to play her hardest; then she could leave the game knowing she had done her best and that feeling would be what she would never forget.
And she did. We were tied at the half 1-1. In the final minutes of the game, Alyssa turned it on and ended up scoring the final two goals which gave us the win 3-1! Alyssa doesn't show a lot of emotion when she plays, but let's just say that it was obvious how much the win meant to her after the game. She couldn't quit laughing and smiling! Pure joy!
We are so grateful for Coach Steve (Uncle Steve) who has worked so hard with her. Such a great guy and coach!
At Jaxson's final concert, there were several tender mercies, such as the choir singing one of my all-time favorite songs, "Consider The Lilies" and a new song from "The Greatest Showman" called "A Million Dreams". I was in tears and moved the entire evening. I love that Jaxson sings. Makes me so happy!
My life is abundantly blessed. I have the most amazing husband, whom I dearly love, who has blessed me with the precious children that are my world. Dave and the kids made me feel like a million bucks with their sweet deeds, good food, and some beautiful jewelry. Love this family of mine!
Alyssa has had a wonderful year playing with Stars United, coached by Uncle Steve. We ended our season with only 2 losses, both to the same team that we will inevitably meet in the finals. Love our girl and her watching her talent develop!
Taylor's 17th birthday landed on a Friday so we had a fun girls' party at our home with cheese cake, hot tubbing, Jaxson's spray tan, and all! We just love our Taylor! We are proud of her accomplishments and the woman she is becoming!
