Our sweet Austin celebrated his 12th birthday! We invited a ton of his friends over for a Raclette dinner, mafia games, and a little fun. The boys LOVED the Swiss combo of potatoes and cheese and ate a ton of food. Afterward, we opened presents. When Austin got to our present, he opened it box by box, with each box containing questions about sports. "What team is better? BYU or the U?" "What team has won more Iron Bowls? Auburn or Alabama?" "Who is Auburn playing on November 3rd?" And then then the finale: "Who will be watching the game at the 50 yard line?" and there was a picture of me and Austin and I photoshopped Uncle Doug in it too. Austin's reaction was the sweetest ever! He started to cry. Not just cry, but sob. He was just so excited. When Uncle Doug came over later, he got emotional just watching Austin's reaction too.
So November 3rd, we will be watching Texas A&M in Auburn, AL!

Taylor Get Asked To AFHS Pro
There was a knock on our door on a Monday after school. When we opened it, there were flowers and a code to decipher! We went to the computer and realized it was JD asking Taylor to prom at AFHS! She was super excited. Exciting days for our Taylor girl!

Dave's Birthday Evening: a concert, missionary call, and birthday cake!
March 8th will always be one of my favorite days of the year: it is my incredible husband's birthday and I love celebrating his life! We met mom and dad Lindsay and attended Jaxson's Grand Concert at MRJH which was marvelous. Then we met at our house for a Cold Stone birthday cake for the birthday boy. As we were finishing up cake and I was taking pictures of Dave and our children, Poppie jumped up and said, "I want a picture with my son on his birthday." We were so excited and quickly started taking pictures that are already cherished gems. It was a wonderful birthday evening for the most special husband, father, and son. Happy Birthday, Dave! You mean the world to us!

Taylor Earns Her Young Women's Personal Progress Award
Oh my goodness! Taylor made a goal when she was 12 that she would earn her Young Women's in Excellence award during her time in YW. And she did it! We have worked so hard together on it together but she really took the reigns and just ran toward the end. We are so proud of her!
Beautiful Music Moves Me Deeply
I LOVE hearing Taylor and the LPHS Accapella Choir sing. Their Spring choir concert was incredible. I also went to to The Sound of Music with Uncle Doug at the Eccles Theater. Amazing!

King Lear
Austin was cast as King Lear in his 6th grade play with Ms. Kitchen. I was able to get someone to cover my A1 class for about 30 minutes so I could watch him. Austin was amazing! He was darling, so strong and direct. Dave and I were so proud of him, but most importantly, AUSTIN felt great about himself!
