The Great Eclipse!

Since I had to be at work, Dave drove the kids down to watch the eclipse with me.  We had the greatest time!  We loved watching the moon move in front of the sun, loved the shadows of the leaves on the sidewalk and seeing our shadows look different.  We were shocked at how the day suddenly cooled off too.

ALMOST Back To School: Enjoying the Final Summer Days

I was so grateful to be able to spend a quick weekend with Dave in Park City.  He is my greatest blessing.  We still have a blast together, share common goals and dreams, and just get along.  Happy 18th Anniversary to us!
The day before I went back to meetings was packed with adventures.  I went on a 4 mile walk, biked 8 miles with the kids, celebrated Austin's scouting rank, ate Cupbop with Austin, and picked up more lumber for our beautiful deck.  Deep breaths; school is about to start and life is about to get CRAZY!

Austin's First Soccer Tournament: Ranger's Cup

I can't believe Austin is playing premiere soccer!  We are proud of him and his hard work.  He had his first tournament in August.  The team played overall well and played 2nd in their division!  Congrats Austin!

Taylor's Selfies!

This girl has blossomed over the summer!  I found a bunch of cute pictures of her on her phone and made her send me copies.

Alpine Days Mountain Biking Race

We might have a new tradition!  Jaxson signed up to ride again in the Alpine Days Mountain Biking Race!  He was incredible....and placed 8th in his age division!  I love watching this energetic young man of mine grow and develop his talents!

Touring the new Provo MTC

Dad called me back in June after he had read in the paper about the potential to tour the new MTC addition in Provo.  He told me to reserve tickets, so I put it on my calendar to reserve the tickets!
The kids and I went in August.  We were sad Dave couldn't make it but he had a super busy work day which we understood.  We had a wonderful time touring the facilities.  At one point, Austin said, "Okay mom.  This seals the deal.  I'm going on a mission!"  THe spirit was strong and we really enjoyed getting a glimpse of MTC life for missionaries.
