Teton National Park & Yellowstone Vacation - day 2

Day 2
Dave and I were so exhausted, we all slept in until about 9:00am.  That would NEVER had happened had we slept in a tent! Mom hit a home run with her breakfast burritos.  Mom and Dad stayed back at the trailer for the late morning/afternoon while we drove with the kids to Jackson Hole for some shopping, sightseeing and our river rafting trip (in another post). The Tetons were so beautiful!  We had to stop and take pictures.
After our river trip, we drove to Jenny Lake where we took pictures of the majestic mountains.  Stunning!

Teton National Park & Yellowstone Vacation- day 1

....and we're off!  We left on August 10th for a fun vacation in beautiful Jackson Hole, Teton National Park, and Yellowstone.  We made it a real adventure and rented a RV trailer.  Packing the Yukon for the trip from our home to Farmington was a nighmare, but finally at 6:00am we were on our way!
Idaho Falls Exit!

 Lake Palisade in Wyoming
I love taking pictures of my children, especially when the scenery is beautiful behind them! ;)  Lake Palisade was gorgeous.  We pulled off the road for a little break and some pictures in front of the lake.

Teton National Park
Our reservations in Teton National Park ended up to be at the most northern campground (in other words, it took 90 minutes to drive there from Jackson pulling a trailer).  Our campsite was cozy and really nice.  Mom brought us a yummy dinner of grilled hamburgers, corn on the cob, salad, chips, and drinks.  She also brought a dutch oven so that she and Austin could make a cake he had learned how to do in scouts.  We were so excited to have a comfy trailer for night!

Rainbows At Grandma and Poppie's House!

We had been over at Grandma and Poppie's house when we spied a beautiful rainbow as we were leaving for home.  I had to snap a picture of Alyssa with her grandparents.

Knight Riders! Jaxson's 1st Mountain Biking Race!

We invested heavily in getting Jaxson ready for the Knight Riders Junior team at LPHS!  His first race was during Alpine Days.  He placed in the middle of the pack.  We are so proud of him and his hard work.  Yay for our Jaxito!

Paddle Boarding With The FLOODS!

We invited Jenna Flood and her children over to our house for a BBQ and paddle boarding at the Manila Pond.  Her kids were all over the experience and ate it up. Little Claire was a pro by the end!
I am going to miss teaching next to her.  She has been an inspiration to me as a professional and a mother.  I count so many of my colleagues as some of my greatest blessings that came out of OCJH.

Cupcake Wars: the final week of Taylor's Summer Cooking Camp

Taylor has found a little niche over the past few summers:  a cooking camp for our little neighborhood kids.  She is growing in confidence and skill.  It was fun to watch the summer unfold with each week.
Cupcake Wars was a huge hit! The younger kids decorated the cupcakes and the older group made the cupcakes from scratch and decorated them too.  We brought in teen judges to eat the cupcakes.  So Fun!
