Dale & Barbara Celebrate 50 Years Together!

Oh what a celebration it was!

We met as a family at La Jolla Groves in the Provo River Bottoms to celebrate Barbara and Dale's 50th Wedding Anniversary.  It was an elegant place with a private room for us to enjoy the evening together.

Connie arrived early to set the tables.  They looked really nice.  Barbara had asked all of us to dress nicely for the occasion.

When Barbara and Dale arrived, there was clapping and excitement from everyone!  Cameras flashed everywhere like the paparazzi had been waiting their arrival!

I wanted to capture the night in pictures and video, so I went to work.  Here are some of the pictures from our evening:

Awwww, the food!  It was healthy and elegant.  Just perfect for the evening!

After dinner, we took pictures of different groups.

Here are their grandchildren, all 9 of them!

On our way out, I couldn't help but take pictures outside.  It was a cool night with lots of warmth from the fire in the water fountains.  Perfect for pictures!

We are so grateful for Poppie and Grandma Barbie's example of love, devotion and dedication as a couple.  They really have paved a path for us to follow as a couple.  Thank you both for making the choice 50 years ago to begin your lives together in the temple and for keeping your covenants while raising a family.  Our little family has been greatly blessed by your example.

All our love,
Dave and Jody

Happy Birthday Austin and Grandma Barbie!

We started our birthday weekend with an elegant birthday brunch in honor of Grandma Barbie!  Poppie, Grandma and Aunt Cindy came over for dinner at our home.  We enjoyed crepes with strawberries and whipped cream as well as nutella and bananas.  It was the perfect beginning to our day and a fun way of expressing our love for Grandma.  She is a wonderful example and grandmother to our children!

AUSTIN'S 8th BIRTHDAY PARTY!
The day had finally arrived!  We met at the Higbee's Gym with 15  7-9 year old boys for 90 minutes of crazy-fun!  We played basketball, shot hoops, played PIG, Lightning, did relays, ate yummy cupcakes and opened presents.  Austin was in heaven!  He loves sports and had wanted to do something along that theme for his special celebration!

We wrapped up the day with some soup, rolls and games over at Grandma Barbie's house.  It was a wonderful day to celebrate the people who mean so much to us!  Happy Birthday, buddy!
