Spring Soccer & Baseball

It hasn't FELT much like spring, but we're finally wrapping up our spring sports and dance seasons in the next few weeks.

April and May have been buuuurrrrrrr COLD here in Utah this year! Wet and rainy, even a bit of snow. These conditions are not very fun for me to sit through while trying to keep a 15 month old wrapped up warm.

I am so proud of the kids! They have been working hard at practice and have really progressed. Here are some pictures that I love:
Taylor is getting ready to dance in "THE LION KING" at the Covey Center on June 4th. She is so excited and has increased in her confidence so much! I'm so proud!

Jax! He lost another tooth last week.....and lost it in the grass. I had to write a letter to the tooth fairy letting her know that there was indeed a lost tooth and that Jaxson needs money. He found his dollar the next morning.....

SOCCER COMES TO AN END!
Jaxson, number 3, finished up his season last Saturday. He hasn't enjoyed the sport very much and wanted to quit but we encouraged him to finish what he committed to.

Water Break!

TEAM PICTURE!

Austin is so excited for soccer in the fall! He asked Jaxson if he can have his uniform to wear until August.

BASEBALL FEVER
Yesterday evening, the weather was close to 70 degrees, so watching the boys play was a blast! Here are Dave, Jax and Austin in the outfield.

A fun surprise! Grandma Barbie and Poppie showed up to watch their grandsons play and son coach. Thanks for coming!

Coach pitch....

Jaxson up to bat!

STRIKE ONE!

It's a hit! RUN KID!

Dave honored at Real Soccer Game

A few nights ago, we had the neatest opportunity to attend a Real soccer game where Dave was honored for his work as a RN during national nurse appreciation week. Dignity Home Health wrote up the nicest short bio about Dave. My favorite part was "Dave is the father of 5 children." I asked him if there was anything he needed to tell me but he assured me they had made a mistake! :)

The night was frigid! We were so happy to have left Alyssa and Austin at Grandma's house! They would have been miserable. Thanks Grandma Barbie!

Here are some pictures of our evening together
Waiting to get into the stadium.

We were part of a group of nurses and their families who took the Real banner onto the field. It was so cool and the kids just LOVED it!

Out on the field, I grabbed my camera and took some quick pictures of the moment! Here is the banner-

.....and two happy people shaking it during the National Anthem!

Jaxson doesn't look too happy here, but don't let the picture fool you---he LOVED it!

Rio Tinto stadium is gorgeous! We loved it!

The kids and Dave....BEFORE cotton candy.

We love soccer!

The kids had the greatest time and we enjoyed the evening with the two of them! Despite the freezing weather, it was a wonderful opportunity for us to enjoy time together as a family and focus our attention on Taylor and Jaxson. Also, we are so proud of Dave and his success in the nursing field. He is an extraordinary individual who works hard and dedicates himself to improving the lives of others. Congratulations Dave on being honored! And thanks, Dignity Home Health Care, for the great seats and recognizing the talents of your employee.

Celebrating 9 Years: TAYLOR JAE'S BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TAYLOR JAE LINDSAY! May 4, 2001

The birth of every one of our children has been amazing! Having said that, I will never forget the moment I became a parent for the first time on May 4, 2001. Taylor was born around 5am on May 4, 2001. She was simply gorgeous! Dave wouldn't put her down. We were head over heals for our baby girl!
Last weekend, we celebrated Taylor's 9th birthday with a small group of her friends. We drove to Build-A Bear at University Mall in Orem. Taylor's cousin, Brittney, works there and made it fun and affordable :). Here are some of my favorite pictures from our celebration:

The girls selected their bears, bunnies, cats and monkeys to be stuffed!
(It's like Taxidermy for youth)

Next, Brittney had the girls parade around the store with their un-stuffed animals on their heads!
Hope and Grandma Barbie came and helped with Alyssa. They had fun watching the girls too!
Cousin Brittney and Taylor!

Blow-drying the animal (I think)

Alyssa got bored of her stroller and decided to parade around the store.
Look how cute she is!

The girls with their animals in front of the store!

Time to go home! Thanks for the memories!

RACLETTE BIRTHDAY DINNER
When I asked Taylor what she wanted to eat, she chose the Swiss dinner, Raclette! The kids LOVED it! Here are some pictures of the kids eating their potatoes and melted cheese.

GIFTS AND FUN
Taylor's friends were so generous with their gifts. I never expect anybody to bring anything but people really do!

(Taylor and her cousins woke up the next morning, insisting on making banana pancakes from this cookbook! Thanks Aunt Jana and Uncle Justin for cooking with the kids while I slept in....!)

We gave Taylor a new bike. Here is Dave wheeling it down the hallway.....
Taylor was closing her eyes while the girls squealed in delight!

"I LOVE it!"

Time for cake. Blow out the candles, Taylor!

The girls picked up Taylor and paraded her around the kitchen. Look how darling their faces are! We really had a great time!

YOU SCREAM, I SCREAM,
WE ALL SCREAM FOR ICE CREAM!

On Saturday, we got to spend the day with our cute nieces and nephew while their parents worked on their rental property. We had a picnic and then ice cream. Who enjoyed the ice cream the most...........?

ALYSSA!
She LOVED it! She squealed and squealed while she licked her chocolate ice cream!

Cute cousin, Kaden!

Jessica, Madison and Jaxson!

Faces only a mother could love.......

Alyssa and Madison!

ps- did you know that chocolate is impossibly difficult to get out of clothing.......?
